Arts and Sciences Tournament

The populace of the west is once again invited to expand their horizons at the annual Arts and Sciences Tournament at the lovely Ed Levin Park. We have some great classes reflecting the varied skills of our teachers.

The Arts and Sciences Ministers are also pleased to announce the Taberna Gladius et Lilia (the Sword and Lily Tavern) will be open Saturday evening, offering refreshments, food, and amusements for all. For more information on the Tavern, please visit their website.

Site Information: Ed Levin Park, Milpitas, CA

Site opens at noon on Friday, and closes at 4pm on Sunday. Classes will be held all day Saturday, and on Sunday morning. There are no longer any classes that will be held on Friday. The schedule can be found here, and class descriptions here . This site does not allow driving on the the grass, so bring your carts, wagons, wheelbarrows, etc. There will be a limited number of carts, provided by the park, for our use. We will be trying out a reservation system for those carts to help organize departures on Sunday. Please have your camp packed up and ready to go when it is your turn for the cart, so we can get everyone loaded and headed home as smoothly as possible.

Please carpool if at all possible - there is a charge per car parked each day, and parking is limited.

Directions:

Take your best rout to 680 or 880 in Milpitas. Take the Calaveras Rd. exit (from either freeway) in Milpitas. Drive east towards the foothills along Calaveras Rd. Calaveras Rd. passes throug the southern portion of Ed R. Levin Park. We are using the Spring Valley area of the park. Use the park entrance located across the road from the golf course.
