Fettburg Yule

Saturday December 5th, 2015
Manteca, California

“On the longest night of Yule we gather to share in our energy and our stores, to keep good company with stories and challenges to while away the Dark of the night, as we prepare to welcome the oncoming light.”

Hear ye! Hear ye! Pray attend! At this time and in this place we draw nigh to share our reserves on this, the shortest day and longest night! Their Excellencies, Baron Jose Ramirez de Coronado and Baroness Aderyn Pierrepont, do bid thee welcome and request thy presence at our Barony’s annual communal Yule. Our day will be filled with many happenings, including competitions and classes galore! Our Page School Chancellor will have activities for the children while we will have games for the elders!

The Blue Bowl Competition: "Thine own persona's favorite thing." Don't worry about documentation, just what thy persona would eat for Yuletide.

Table Decoration Competition: What wouldst thy persona have to celebrate this time of the year?

Guessing Jars Competition: Guess how many beans doth we have in our jars.

A raffle will be held during the event. Many lovely things are part of this celebration!

Now to our feast! The Barony will provide roasted swans (turkeys), wild boar (ham), wassail, and mulled cider. The populace shall bring dishes according to their names. If thine SCA name doth begin with:
A – F, please bring breads, fruits, and desserts
G – M, please bring vegetables and salads (dressing on the side please)
N – Z, please bring cheeses, side dishes, and nuts.
