Come and celebrate Martinmas with Darkwood at the Baroness’ Masked Ball.
We will have a day of feasting and merriment, with a sideboard, potluck, parade of masks and mask competition, and teeny pie competition. Yes, teeny pies: They can be savory or sweet - and while medieval recipes are encouraged, experimentation is also allowed. Just make them small and tasty.
The Bard of the Oak competition will also take place. Competitors will be asked to perform a piece from each of the following three categories:
1 – Period piece.
2 – Piece in the theme of inspiring women in history. Think Queens, Princesses, Warrior Women, and other inspirational figures of courage and grace.
3 – Bards choice.
If you are interested in participating please contact Juan Santiago, Bard of The Oak.
