Harvest Captaincy

Come one, Come all! Join the Barony of Winter's Gate for the Labor Day weekend as the new baronial armored and rapier champions are chosen by combat. There are currently offerings of various A&S classes, children's activities and whispers of archery. Fall Captaincy will be held at Anderson Riverside Park, Anderson AK. There is a good amount of space, but the autocrat would prefer if you would RSVP with your space requirements to ensure that the vision of the dream is best fulfilled.

The event schedule is still being finalized, if you would like to teach a class that is appropriate to a rustic site, please contact the autocrat.

Potable water is available on site. There is a bathhouse with flush toilets & pay-as-you-go showers in addition to porta-johns. There is a small covered pavilion with picnic tables and a fireplace. If you have your own sunshade; it is recommended to bring it for set up near the eric.

Children: There is a children's playground on site and there will be some children's activities scheduled.

Pets: Animals are allowed on a leash or in a kennel. You must clean up after your pet. Please respect the rules that make the event enjoyable for everyone.

There are RV Hookups available.

Offsite lodging: There is an Inn near site with limited rooms charging resort prices. There are also options about 40 miles away in Healy, AK.

The site is approximately 80 miles from Fairbanks, please plan ahead and bring all of your food/ice/adult beverages/toiletries/etc. to site with you. There is a small gas station/convenience store in Nenana, approximately 30 miles away. There is a small general store in Healy, approximately 40 miles away.

Directions: 
Make your way along Parks highway(AK 3) (North from Anchorage/ South from Fairbanks) towards Anderson/Clear.
Turn off at mile post 283.5, Anderson/ Clear access road and follow the road less than one mile
Turn right at the sign for Anderson (Anderson Rd).
Follow the road through the town, continue onto 1st St. which terminates at the park entrance. Signs will be posted.
