Known World Arts & Sciences Symposium

Friday March 9th, 2018 to Sunday March 11th, 2018

Come one, come all! To the Shire of Harshorn-dale in the Kingdom of the East! We are excited to welcome you to the Known World Arts & Sciences Symposium in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Please join us for a Friday evening Guild Hall and keynote speaker. On Saturday there will be a full day of classes, and in the evening a Ball, a period gaming room, and A&S Display! We are looking forward to a weekend delving into the gentler arts!

We have a wide selection of classes, including an interesting variety of costuming classes, scribal arts, brewing, feast, music, making pins, astrolabes, storytelling, research skills, Viking studies, Anglo-Saxon studies, and embroidery.

We are excited to welcom two globally renowned speakers, Robin Netherton and Gale Owen-Crocker, presenting this weekend. They are the co-editors of the annual journal "Medieval Clothing and Textiles", and are researchers, scholars, and authors individually as well.
