Oerthan Summer Coronet & Investiture

Friday July 20th, 2018 to Sunday July 22nd, 2018

Come explore the Silk Road as the Great Principality in the North hosts its Coronet Tournament and Investiture! Roses Tourney will take place after the Coronet Tournament. A variety of activities, including youth activities and a special site token activity, are planned throughout the weekend. In addition, all artists and craftsmen are called to display their many talents in an Arts & Sciences display. A schedule and description of events and activities will be available on site.

Join Oerthans and guests in a bardic circle around the fire pit on both Friday and Saturday night. Any other fires must be in an above ground container. Taste the wonders of a locally raised pig and pies from along the Silk Road in the Saturday feast.

Sunday morning, wake up with traditionally made Turkish Coffee in a fundraiser to support the Shire of Hrafnfjord!

Other Site Information
While it is unlikely that there will be bears, moose do frequent the area and bears are sometimes present during the summer. Be sure to be bear aware.
Please contact the autocrat with size requirements for either mundane or period tents.
RV’s will park in regular parking. There are no hookups.
Bring your own water; there is no water available on site.

Adult Event Registration $20, Adult Member Event Discount Registration $15, Children and Youth under 17 $10, family cap $50.

From all points north: Take the Seward Highway south to the Sterling Highway exit. Follow the Sterling Highway to Soldotna. Take the first right on Kalifornsky Beach Road (K-Beach Road). After crossing the bridge over the Kenai River, turn right onto Rodeo Grounds Loop. Our site is outside the Rodeo Grounds after approximately 1/4 mile. Please get your spot from the traffic director, unload, and then park in the parking lot.
