The Barony of Eskalya invites you to break out your best tunicas and togas and join us as we celebrate Quinquatria, the Roman festival of Minerva! To pay tribute to the goddess of war, wisdom, arts, and strategy, we'll undertake gladiatorial combat on the heavy and rapier fields, have a round of Roman trivia, compete against each other in a team art triathlon, and play Roman games of skill! In honor of the Goddess’ (and our own Baroness’) association with owls, a prize will be offered to the artist who produces the best owl in any mode. Dinner will be by potluck with the barony will provide a pork dish from Apicius’ De Re Coquinaria.
