Come and get your Comic-Con on…Winter’s Gate Style!
Spring is in the air and so is the sun! This Spring Captaincy is sure to be one that will not be soon forgotten!
There will be a fashion show on Saturday night! Do your best to incorporate your favorite hero/heroine, movie character, anime character, Disney character, Marvel character, DC character….ANY character into some form of garb! There will be three levels of judging: Beginner (sewing for less than 2 years); Intermediate (sewing for more than 2 years); and Laurel (well, that one explains itself). There will be a prize for each level!! To find out what it is, enter the fashion show!
Tourneys!! There will be a multitude of tourneys! First and foremost, who will be the next Captain of the Winter's Gate Militia! A grand melee will be fought on Saturday to determine Her Excellency’s champion! Later on in the evening, we will have a Boar Hunt! The next day, we will have a war practice with combat archery and (if at all possible) a target archery shoot! But wait, there’s more! We will also have a tag-team spear tourney (to help warm up those war muscles) and a bear pit! It will be a fighter’s paradise weekend!
What? You don’t fight? Have no fear! We will also have a variety of classes to include a dying class, a scribal class, a possible metal working class, and classes and activities for the kids! We will also have an artisans display for those items made or in the process of being made since the fall of 2018!
And food! After the Boar’s hunt on Saturday, Syr Culann will prepare the slain boar and provide its bountiful meat to the populace as his contribution to the Winter’s Gate family potluck! Bring a dish to share and let us enjoy one another’s company! We will also have two fundraiser breakfasts; one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. The Saturday morning fundraiser will be raising funds for the Perfectly Plausible Feast and will be run by Viscountess Sefa and her wonderful autocrat team! The Sunday fundraiser breakfast is still available to be volunteered for! Don’t wait, volunteer today! Just contact Sefa and she will ensure that you can feed the masses!

Anderson Campgrounds (, Anderson Alaska )
Make your way along Parks Highway (AK 3) (North from Anchorage/South from Fairbanks) towards Anderson/Clear. Turn off at mile post 283.5, Anderson/Clear access road and follow the road less than one mile. Turn right at the sign for Anderson (Anderson Road). Follow the road through the town and continue onto 1st Street which terminates at the park entrance. Signs will be posted.
