Purgatorio - Kingdom of the West (Quincy, CA)

Greetings unto the the Populous of the Kingdom of the West.  Come join Their Majesties, King Marc and Queen Patricia, in the beautiful mountains that bless our wonderful Kingdom for the Coronation of the victors of June Crown.

Prize Tourney: Their Royal Highnesses will be hosting a Factions Treasure Chest Prize Tourney for heavy and rapier fighters after Their Coronation.  Please see TRH’s Words for Tournament information.

Equestrian: A great cry to the riders of the West!  It has been brought to our notice that the Brooks Woods have been invaded. The invaders are encroaching on our camp. What we must do is stop them though there are many obstacles in our way. We shall bring the leader's head back to show our victory.  Riders bring your mounts.  There will be Equestiran activities on Saturday only.  There is not potable water so you must bring your own, as well as day pins or a high line. There are no rentals. If you have any questions, please contact Haley.

Site Information: 2331 Silver Creek Rd, Meadow Valley, CA 95956. It is the same site as last year. There is no water on site! Be sure to bring your own. The site has no amenities so bring your own water and haul out your trash. There is a year round creek, but the water is not potable. Standard SCA Animal rules apply and horses are welcome. There are homes in the area so quite hour on the Eric will be Midnight, but there will be a designated Noisy area that will be allowed to continue as long as it is not heard on the Eric (this shall be determined by the Autocrat and CiC).

Site open: Noon (10:00 a.m. for Merchants).   Site close: 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Fees:  $15 Adults, $10 17-13 years old, free for 12 and under, and a family pack at $40. $5 NMS Fee. Please make checks payable to “SCA, Inc.-Kingdom of the West”

Autocrat:  Volker von dem Wald

Directions: From the West, take I-80 East to Truckee, CA. Exit at CA-89 North.  Follow 89 North to Quincy.  In Quincy turn left onto Crescent Street and Right onto West Main Street.  Continue onto Bucks Lake Road toward Bucks Lake /Meadow Valley. Once in Meadow Valley make a sharp right turn onto Silver Creek Road (do not turn prior to Silver Creek Road no matter what your GPS says - the roads do not actually go through). If you pass The Meadow Valley Church you’ve gone too far. At the end of the road on the left is the site, notable by the wooden fence. The road ends in a turnaround so there is no chance of going too far.
