Mists / Cynagua War - Principality of the Mists (Milpitas, CA)
Spring is in the air, soon to be filled with arrows and the sounds of War! Must the sibling rivalry of two brother Princes lead to conflict upon the battlefield? Why, yes! All ye able of body are summoned forth to the Mists/Cynagua War in the Principality of the Mists. Scenarios will include open field, bridge and castle battles, with and without archery. The final battle of the day will be a siege battle with non-standard weapons encouraged. Bring forth every ridiculous, idiotic or just plain strange weapon you’ve ever dreamed of! If it can pass the inspection of Master Aelf’s severe gaze, you can wield it in this scenario. After the fighting, join the Mist Royals in a potluck feast. Their Highnesses, Ajax and Uta, will be providing a roasted beast. If your SCA name starts with A-N bring a side dish, if your SCA name starts with P-Z bring a dessert to share.

Site open: 12:00 noon on Friday. Site close: 3:00 p.m. Sunday.
Site fee: $5 per person! This is to encourage as many fighters as possible to this event. Children age five and under are still free.

Directions: From either I-680 or 880, take the Calaveras Road exit in Milpitas. Drive east towards the foothills along Calaveras Road. To reach the Youth Group Camp Area, continue along Calaveras Rd, past Downing Road and turn left into the gate.
