Kingdom IT

The West Kingdom needs an IT overhaul.  The Kingdom IT office funnels all the various projects, specifications, and resources (Yes!  We need Resources -- Your computer talents) for bringing our Kingdom technology out of the Computing Dark Ages.

Currently, you are looking at the fruits of the webminister's labor creating a new look, a new feel, and new tools for the West Kingdom website.  The Royalty and Officer Corp can now manage their office's content on the Kingdom website themselves.  For example, the Chatelaine can add content, pictures, and files to communicate with the Kingdom via the Chatelaine's webpage.  As the officer for a particular office - you are the subject matter expert and who better than yourself or your trusted minion to provide the content for your page.

Future enhancements include a calendar date and event copy submission tool.  Seneschals will be able to publish their event copy as soon as the autocrat has written it.  They will be able to submit an abbreviated event copy for print publication in The Page, and an expanded, more detailed event copy for publication on the Kingdom website.  There will be further tools for the Kingdom Chronicler to pull the *Approved Page Copy for publication in The Page at press time.  Additional projects include a calendar exchange with other kingdoms (traveling and want to see what's going on at your destination?  With a calendar exchange just re-sort the calendar based on Kingdom and see what's going on!)  Historic Lists data (who fought in that March Crown anyway?), a tool for officers to "advertise" for a deputy/successor, and many more exciting things to come.

If you have an enhancement you'd like to see on the Kingdom website, or would like to contribute your computer skills please email Aurora!

(*Approved Page Copy:  the sponsoring Group's Seneschal must approve Page/Event copy prior to publication.  Our new tools will streamline this process.)
