Barony of Fettburg- Yule Feast
The Barony of Fettburg invites you to our annual Yule Feast. Dec.4th, 2021.
Our Theme is the 'Knightly Virtues” of Charity, Integrity, Courage, Honesty & Humility.
Because of the Covid restrictions, each family will bring food for themselves. There will be no potluck or Feast meats provided. Per Kingdom Covid protocol, masks will be worn except when eating.
There will be classes held in the late afternoon, including a Weaving class by Viscountess Louise and Youth Point will also have activities. Come challenge Baron Konrad to a game of Glukhaus or introduce him to a new game. More classes and activities will be announced on facebook.
We will have our Table setting contest, along with the Bard of Fettburg competition. (Check with her for competition pieces) We will also have our 'Guessing Jars', for Kids & Adults, along with a 'Snowball' fight. We are reviving the Fettburg 'Sheep-stuffing' contest, as we found our lost sheep!
We will also has a grand Memorial silent auction. Our late member Katherine Teixeira (aka Stephen of the Yews), passed in Sept. She had set aside many SCA & history items for the auction to redistribute them for continued use in the Society. Among the items are tablewares, weapons, garb, books, and more. Some of the larger items are displayed on-line. Proceeds of this auction will enable the Barony to secure a safe, clean, centralized storage unit for Baronial properties.
Site: Manteca Senior Center at 295 Cherry Lane, Manteca, CA. 95337.
Site opens: 11 AM- 8 PM. There is no site fee.
Directions: From North- take either I-5 or 99 Hwy to Lathrop Rd. exit. Turn Left from I-5 & Right from Hwy-99. Continue to Union Rd. Turn South on Union & continue to Center St. Turn Left onto Center, for two blocks.* Turn Left onto Cherry Ln.(Near Police station) Senior Center is on the left, behind the Police station. From South- take Hwy-99 to 120 bypass at Manteca, take exit West 241 toward Frisco. Take N. Union Rd. exit and keep to the Right. Go North on Union to Center St. Turn Right. (*see above) From Bay Area- take your best route to 205 / I-5 N. Take 120 bypass exit toward Yosemite. At Union Rd. exit stay on left lane to enter the 'double diamond' overpass. Follow road arrows across overpass to exit onto N. Union Rd. Continue to Center St.(*see above)
