Season's Greetings Everyone!
It is that time of year again when the grass slowly grows under our feet as we gather for Lupercalia, where couples test their talents, knowledge and prowess to reveal who will be the next Baron & Baroness of Allyshia.
The great plague banished us into our homes during this time last year, preventing our annual custom of competition. This year, we are happy to announce we are able to have Lupercalia in person as well as online!
Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to guard the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in this in-person SCA event, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to abide by the Event Steward’s stated event rules as well as to take any additional steps you feel are necessary to protect the health and safety of yourself and your party.
Pre-registration is required and will close the night of Friday, March 18 at 5pm. Site will open Saturday, March 19th at 9am. There is no site fee, but if you want to donate $5 per person, it would be appreciated. Masks are required to be worn both inside and outside. Food is not allowed on site. Drink is allowed; you will get a straw as a site token when you sign in, to minimize unmasking.
With a twist on tradition this year, lists will open at 9:15, opening Court starts at 9:45, and the first portion of the competition will begin at 10am. Evening Court will be held a little earlier than usual at 5pm to allow those gentles in attendance to go to their dinners off site, cutting down on the potential exposure and spreading of the plague.
We are very excited to have this opportunity and see folks we have missed. While it is not the same as years past, it is better than last year. We hope you all enjoy Lupercalia wherever you are.

6:00-6:30 pm — Cleanup

Because the great plague is still with us, the amount of people allowed on site is limited to 30-50–no exceptions! Carpooling is recommended, as parking is limited. We will also have the option to view streaming portions of the event through Zoom (link posted) so that we can all enjoy Lupercalia together.
Directions: Take Myrtle Avenue to Pennsylvania. (HealthSport and PG&E face each other across the intersection.) Proceed down Pennsylvania to Frank Street, where you will make a right. 2440 is on the right. There is an overgrown hedge, the driveway is circular so you can go up one side and out the other. The house is white with a red door.
