Eager to dive into the origins of pre-17th Century cuisine, whether hands-on in the kitchen or in a classroom with others who share your passion? Then plan to join other historical food enthusiasts for the West Coast Culinary Symposium (WCCS) 2026
The Kingdom of the West will host the West Coast Culinary Symposium, February 28 – March 1, 2026 at Limantour Lodge in Point Reyes Station, California. This two-day event offers a rich blend of historical cooking classes, delicious food and of course a keynote speaker. Whether you’re staying for the full weekend or day tripping only on Saturday, this is your perfect opportunity to geek out about all things culinary and connect with fellow enthusiasts throughout the Known World.

Directions:
From the South along HWY 101:
Exit Hwy 101 at Lucas Valley Road, Exit 456. Turn left. At approximately 10.3 miles, stay to the right and the road becomes Nicasio Valley Road. Drive 3.8 miles though the town of Nicasio and turn left onto Point Reyes-Petaluma Road.* After 3.1 miles, turn right, staying on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. After 3.1 miles, turn left onto Hwy 1 and proceed through Point Reyes Station. After 0.8 miles, turn right onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd. After 0.7 miles, turn left onto Bear Valley Road. After 0.5 miles, turn right onto Limantour Road. After 5.9 miles, (it winds a bit), turn left onto Limantour Spit Road. After 0.3 miles. The Limantour Lodge will be on the left.
From the North along HWY 101:
Exit Hwy 101 at East Washington Street, Exit 474, in Petaluma. Turn right. After 0.7 miles, turn left onto Copeland Street. After 0.1 miles, turn right onto East D Street. Follow East D Street across the river and through town and into the countryside. D Street eventually becomes the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. After 12.4 miles, the Nicasio Valley Road intersects with the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. Continue on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road as per the directions from the South where it is marked with an * and follow them to the site.
From the East along HWY 37:
On Hwy 37 heading west, exit at Black Point/Atherton Avenue, (shortly after crossing the Petaluma River). Turn left onto Atherton Avenue. After 3.2 miles Atherton Ave. crosses Hwy 101 and becomes San Martin Drive. Continue on San Martin Drive for 2.7 miles. Turn right onto Novato Blvd. Continue on Novato Blvd. for 6.3 miles until it intersects with the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. Turn left onto the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and continue on it for 3.8 miles to where the Nicasio Valley road intersects. Continue on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road as per the directions from the South where it is marked with an * and follow them to the site.
