Further Event Information:
Madness returns to Westermark — and this year, the Wild Hunt rides with laughter and mischief! Join us for a day steeped in whimsy, revelry, and outrageous adventure. Fey masks, forest creatures, fanciful hats, and foolishness are all encouraged as we chase glory and giggles in the Barony’s favorite tradition: Westermark Madness!
This isn’t the stuff of terror — this is Wild Hunt with a wink. Whether you come as a cunning stag, a bumbling satyr, a fierce hunter, or a confused woodland noble, bring your best masks and whimsical hats to join the magical mayhem. Join us for Martial Mayhem & Merriment, a day packed with action, skill, and spirited competition! Take up arms in the return of the Two-Headed Giant Melee, where pairs of fighters strap in and show off their shield wall tactics — double the heads, double the fun. Test your finesse in Rapier Shenanigans, where swift steel meets stylish skill. Step up to Archery for the Bold, featuring novelty shoots, wild targets, and your chance to claim the title of Sharp of the Westermark. And don’t miss the Challenges, where you can throw down with your friends and vie for glory — will you rise to become the next Thug, Hood, or Shepherd? LOTS of fun for everyone! Archers can enjoy some novelty shoots and lets not
forget there’s an opportunity to be the next Sharp of the Westermark ! A/S Classes and games for everyone! Prepare your best pastry and summon your inner forest spirit — it’s time for the Wild Hunt Hand Pie Competition! Whether savory or sweet, let your flavors run wild and your crusts be cunning. Impress the hunters with your culinary craft and see if your hand pie is worthy of the Wild Hunt’s table. Prizes await the most delicious and daring creations!
There will be a potluck style early dinner that will take place after the tournaments and court concludes. If you are able, please bring a side dish or dessert to share, large enough to serve 4 to 8 persons and the Barony will provide the main course. Please make an ingredients list available for those with food allergies.
Please try to carpool as there is limited parking. We want many people to come, so join the day trip together! Bring sun shades, chairs and tables.
Bring your own potable water – no water on site. Porta-potty will be available – we are not heathens!
