SUMMARY:West Kingdom Fall Crown Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Fall Crown Schedule 2025 \ni80 Construction Traffic Patterns \nEvent Steward SCA Name:   Barron Alfonso Diego Castillo de Guzman \nEvent Steward contacts:   papadeguzman@westkingdom.org   650-285-7131 \n \nEvent Name:   Fall Crown \nEvent Site Open:   Sep 26\, 12pm \nEvent Site Close:   Sep 28\, 3pm \n \nFurther Event Information:    Their Royal Majesties invite you to attend and participate in the crown tournament of succession! We are in the early stages\, they haven’t even stepped up yet! As we develop the shenanigans\, errr… plan\, we will update all. Please contact the event steward to get more information. \n \nFrom Their Majesties – \n“Greetings to Our beloved West kingdom \nAs We celebrate with all of you Our ascension to the Occidentalis Thronus\, We must keep in mind that life can be short and that We must take steps to ensure the safety and well being of Our Populace by finding right and proper Heirs through combat on the List Field. Prepare your harness\, sharpen your swords and axes\, and paint your shields bright. We ask that all who have banners or field decorations bring them forth and help bring color and joy to the List Field. Let us all fill the field with displays of your heraldry and personal colors as We witness the determination of Our Heirs. \nWe wish to let it be known the following information regarding a mighty tournament to determine Our Heirs. \nOur Tournament will be held under the standard rules of the List as laid out in West Kingdom and Society Law. It will be a standard double elimination tournament using weapons of choice for all rounds. Armor will follow Standard Western customs. We wish to have it known that first and second rounds of the Tournament will be done as best 2 out of 3 for all fights in those rounds. \nWe are asking all non-Western entrants who wish to compete in the tournament to submit (email crown@westkingdom.org) a simple letter of intent stating their desire to compete in Our List and agreeing to the following considerations: \n1. Your consort is a Western citizen \n2. Your acknowledgement that you will attend any and all Western events that you are reasonably able to beyond the three required for “completion of the reign” and that you are prepared for any financial burden that may be incurred in order to accomplish this \n3. Your acknowledgement that from the date of this announcement forward until Western Crown Tournament\, you WILL NOT compete in your home Kingdom’s Crown Tournament nor for 3 months following this Western Crown Tournament. This requirement is designed to reinforce the ideal that the Western Crown\, while being open to most who wish to compete\, is NOT a bragging right nor resume accomplishment. It is a serious endeavor and responsibility and must be treated as such. \nWe look forward to seeing the pageantry\, joy\, honor\, and prowess of all who wish to compete for the Throne of the West. \nYours in service to the Dream\, \nHeinrich IIRex Occidentalis \nAnnora IIRegina Occidentalis” \nSite Name:    Mahon Family Ranch \nSite Address:   10171 Grant Line Road Elk Grove\, CA 95624 \nWritten Directions to Site:    \nNOTE: This is an active ranch and has a river running through it. There will be livestock and we are close to moving water. \nTake your best route to Highway 99 heading to Elk Grove. If heading North\, exit right onto Grant Line Road heading East. If heading South\, exist Kamerrer/Grant Line and turn left onto Grant Line Road heading East. \nOnce on Grant Line Road (in Elk Grove) heading east\, drive for approximately 1 mile. Look for a large warehouse building that is painted in rectangles of teal\, white and 2 shades of grey. Go just past the building and turn into what appears to be the parking lot\, look for the SCA signs starting here. Stay to the left and transition to the gravel road that continues beyond\, you will be heading South at this point. \nYou will continue on this gravel road for approximately 1 mile\, follow the next SCA sign to the field the event is being held in. Continue another 1/2 mile to the event site. \n \nDonation only  Event?: no \nAdult “Non-Member” Registration: $40 \nAdult “Member” Registration: $30 \nChildren/Miner Registration (Age and $): 17 & younger free \nFamily Cap ($): no \nCan I PrePay: PayPal \n \nSite Accessibility:   Close / Handicap Parking\, Cell Phone Reception \nTerrain Description:   It is a working ranch and we are on a cattle grazing field. The are ditches running around the edge of the field\, be very careful driving. \nBodies of Water on/near Site:   River \nInsects or wild animals to be aware of on/ near site:  All of the above  \nAmenities on Site:   Portable Privies\, Shopping near by\, Fire Pits: West Kingdom Conventions\, RV Parking\, Bodies of Water: Rivers\, Lakes\, Ponds\, Creeks \nAdditional Comments: Web Link  Facebook link
