Further Event Information:

On a quiet Sunday afternoon in September 1995, nine friends solemnly pledged themselves to each other, agreeing to participate in an exploration of the concept of Chivalry by striving to do our best, while never sacrificing honor for base gain or the sake of vanity. Those nine – Obadiah, Gareth, Alden, Wiglaf, Thorfinn, Kolbyr, Helgi, Kayla, and Stephen – proclaimed themselves The Fellowship of the Argent Angel, taking for device an Angel armed as for war, Argent, and for motto “Quisque Custodiat Quemque.”

Thirty summers have passed since that fateful day, and still our Fellowship aspires to ideals beyond our reach. We have lost two beloved brothers: Mathias and Obadiah, and happily welcomed eighteen more. It is now our desire to stand the field in celebration of our decades of commitment to each other and the glorious ideal of Chivalry. Do not mistake us! We do not stand with Prideful presumption that we have achieved the ideals to which we strive, only that we acknowledge the joy of the quest and would welcome other like-minded gentles to join us in celebration of our collective aspirations.

Therefore shall we stand the field and present to our noble Gallery, with all appropriate pageantry and honor, a passage of armes. The passage shall commence with a helm schau, providing the Gallery the opportunity to offer their favor to our gentle venans. Then, words of welcome will be spoken, introductions made, and first passes commenced. Thereafter, the Gallery will choose the manner and making of each challenge, regaling all with inspiration from the era that inspires us. Provision will be provided to assist with such challenges, as desired. Challenges shall be made and met throughout the afternoon, interrupted occasionally with melee contests of all participants. The passage shall be deemed complete after a rigorous contest at the barrier and appropriate closing words. The remainder of the day and evening shall be spent sharing memories of joyful days, past and present.
