Hey ho, to the greenwood now let us go… Grab your bow and arrows and head for the woods in Windy Meads! The hunt is on! Be there for this annual novelty shoot. The contest will begin at 10:00AM with novelties on the target range and a hunt with foam animals on the field range. They pop up, charge, fly and explode.
We’ll share in a lunch board at Noon. Please bring a potluck dish to supplement the core of soups/ breads and other items provided by the shire.
After lunch there will be a long range shoot to the mark (clout shoot).
This event is novice and youth archer friendly. Please bring youths along, as we are planning on setting up parts of the range specifically for them. No compound bows - SCA rules. No crossbows - park rules. Some loaner equipment will be available.

Take I-80 to Davis. Exit at Mace Blvd. Proceed south on Mace 4 miles. Mace becomes County Road 104. At Tremont Road, turn left into the parking lot of The Yolo Grasslands Park.
If manually entering the address use the Grasslands Regional Park address: "Mace Blvd & Tremont Rd, Davis, CA 95618". The listed address for Yolo Bowmen when entered will take you half a mile south of the site.
