Join us for the Barony of Rivenoak Newcomer’s Tournament!
The Baronesses Tellina and Miriam graciously invite you all to join the Barony in a full day of exploring the SCA, with demonstrations and activities of all types including a Scavenger Hunt, Combat Exhibition activities (Heavy and Rapier), Games, Arts and Sciences, Bardic and all other revelry for all ages!
The Rivenoak Mercantile will have a variety of goods for all to peruse and purchase (pay what you can - donation). Donations of SCA appropriate items will be accepted prior to the event. Please contact Baroness Miriam (Merrie) for any questions.
Enjoy refreshment at the Hospitality Groaning Board (Potluck), please bring a dish to share. If you do bring something, have a list of general ingredients for potential allergens.

Cedar Grove Park (1968 E 8th St, Chico CA 95928)
From the North: Take Hwy 99 South to Chico, getting off on the East 8th / Hwy 32 exit. Turn Left onto Hwy 32 East and go one block to Fir Street, turning left onto. Going through the stoplights, the road becomes East 8th Street. Follow East 8th eastbound, passing Parkview Elementary School on your left. The Park entrance will be the first driveway on your left just after the school. Signs will give reference.
From the South: Take Hwy 99 North to Chico, getting off on the East 8th / Hwy 32 East exit. Turn Right on Hwy 32 East and go one block to Fir Street, turning left onto Fir. From the West: If you are taking I-5 North, exit in Orland and take Hwy 32 into Chico. Turn Left onto East Ave and follow until you get to the East Ave On-ramp of Hwy 99 South. See “From the North” for more directions above.
From the East: Take Hwy 32 West into Chico, turning right onto Forest Ave. Take Forest Ave to East 8th Street and turn left. About ¼ mile on the right-hand side, you will see the “Chico Creek Nature Center”. Go past the Nature Center and you will see the entrance drive to Cedar Grove Park. Follow signs for reference.
