Archery season is here! Grab your bow and join the Shire of Windy Meads for our annual Hunt and Novelty Shoot! Hunt life-size 3-D foam animals hiding in the trees of Yolo County’s premier forest. Watch out for that 9-foot grizzly! Can you hit the enemy fighters popping up from behind the barricade, kill the plague rats, or that giant red dragon flying across the field? Targets suitable for beginners to champions will be in the mix. Youth and novice archers are encouraged to join in the fun.
Loaner gear can be available by prior arrangement only. No compound bows (SCA rules) or crossbows (Club rules).
Not interested in shooting? Join us anyway and work on your project under the trees. The non-archer fee is $5 for members and $15 for non-members.
Gate opens at 9:00 AM and the shoot starts at 10:00 AM. Bring your lunch; fast food and coffee are also close by. Water will be provided. Competition is expected to be complete about 3:00-4:00 PM.
