Greetings glorious West Kingdom! June Crown approaches and this year it will be spent in the stunning mountain views of Plumas County Fairgrounds in Quincy, California.
We will join Ttheir Majesties, Hans and Ciar, as They discover Their heirs to the Western Thrones.
The Wooden Spoon competition for June Crown is Cabbage from any period that we study (1600 or earlier)! This competition is a “Cook it on Site” competition. I will provide you with the Cabbage and you provide everything else (including your own kitchen). Please rsvp Margaret Grym, Wooden Spoon Minister, with your entry no later than 6/12/2023 (This is a hard deadline), so that I know how many Cabbages to buy.

Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds (204 Fairgrounds Road, Quincy CA 95971)
Take your best route to Quincy, California. Please be aware that due to many rock slides, Hwy 70 from Oroville to Quincy will probably be blocked off. I-80 through Hwy 89 will be your safest and straightest route. Stick to the major highways, despite GPS maps attempting backroads. Do NOT use your GPS, Garmin, or other navigation device, or you may end up in the wrong place! Once in Quincy, go through town to the fairgrounds. There will be SCA signs.
