The Shire of Ravenshore is once again calling all those with a glint of foolishness in their hearts to attend our Ravenshore Fool's Tournament! We will have:
Heavy Fighting Tournament
o The Heavy Tournament format will be decided based on attendance.
o Further, the Defender of the Northern Marches will be selected and the Torq passed on!
Archery Tournament
o Hosted by the Odd Bodkins!
o Combat Archery (after the tournament)
o Been thinking about shooting your friends with arrows? Come give it a try!
Atl Atl (after the tournament)
o How far and accurately can you throw this ancient weapon that preceded the bow and arrow and is one of humankind’s first mechanical inventions?
The Choosing of the new Fool!
o Prepare one of each:
§ One original limerick,
§ Your best tavern joke,
§ Your best overall joke, and§ New this year, your best DAD joke/Groaner!
o Saturday evening we will have an event to celebrate the new fool!
§ If you are the new fool and do not imbibe, Ravenshore will provide a stunt liver
Prizes, a Potluck Dinner on Saturday night, and more!
There may even be sightings of the Woodwose – don’t miss him (or her?)!
General FAQs
Q: Are fires allowed on site?
A: Yes! The standard West Kingdom fire rules apply.
Q: Are dogs allowed on site?
A: Absolutely. We even allow cats. Though both need to be on leashes.
Q: What's the water situation? Privies?
A: We rent the privies, as well as a sink. There is no source of potable water on site, so be sure to bring plenty.

Comptche Fire House Park (8491 Flynn Creek Rd., Comptche California 95427)
• From the North: Take US-101 to Willits CA. Take State Hwy 20 out of Willits (Fort Bragg-Willits Rd). Continue on State Hwy 20 W to Fort Bragg. Turn left at the end onto CA-1 S/ S Main St. towards Mendocino. Cross Big River Bridge past Mendocino. Comptche-Ukiah Rd is the first left (east). Follow Comptche-Ukiah Rd to Flynn Creek Rd in Comptche (at the Store & Post office) turn Right. Fire House on the Left.
• From Ukiah: Take Exit 546 from US-101 to S State St. Follow CA-253 W to CA-128 W in Boonville. Turn right onto CA-128 W. Turn right onto Flynn Creek Rd 15 min (7.7 mi). Fire House on Right.
• From the South: Follow US-101 N and CA-128 W to Flynn Creek Rd. Take Exit 522 for CA-128 W toward Fort Bragg/ Mendocino out of Cloverdale. Turn left towards 128 W. Turn right to stay on CA-128 W. Turn right onto Flynn Creek Rd 15 min (7.7 mi). Fire House on Right.
