Have you ever considered being a court herald? This is the person who stands next to the thrones and reads out of the ceremony book. This takes some training, and it’s hard to get it done at large events, so we have a plan to accomplish the first several steps. Cynagua is hosting a Court Heraldry Workshop on Saturday, January 20 from 10AM to 4PM at the Woodland Masonic Center. This will cover the several steps needed to organize an award court for a barony, principality or the Kingdom, as well as reporting and all sorts of good advice from our best heralds.
Teaching will start at 10AM. There will be a break for lunch. You may bring food to share but are not required to do so. The site is indoors, heated and flat. There are restrooms and running water. Chairs are provided, but you may bring something more comfortable if you wish. No pets please.

• From Hwy 113 Northbound: Merge with I-5 and exit to Hwy 113 North Yuba City. Turn left onto East St. and right onto Kentucky Ave. Turn left onto Palm Avenue.
• From Hwy 113 Southbound: Turn right onto Kentucky Ave. Turn left onto Palm Avenue.
• From the West (Bay Area): Take I-80 to Davis and take Hwy 113 North to Woodland. Hwy 113 will merge with I-5 North. Take the next exit, Hwy 113 North Yuba City, and proceed as from I-5..
• The lodge will be about 2 blocks down on the left. Look for the big square and compass on the building. Parking is in the back and on the street. Ride sharing is suggested.
