Regnum Change - Select Office

SCA Arts & Sciences are all the crafts, skills, and technologies practiced in the time period and cultures that the SCA covers.

The Chonicler creates the newsletter for the group.

The Constables are the friendly faces you meet at the gate for each event throughout the kingdom. 

The Exchequer is an appointed official, performing the duties of treasurer for the local chapter. 

The Heavy Marshal oversees all aspects of rattan combat.

The Herald is responsible for assisting with name research (onomastics) and the design, registration, and display of devices ('coats of arms'). Heralds also serve as the “Voice of King“ or other royalty by assisting at court or making general announcements.

The seneschal is the legal representative of a branch. Seneschals sign all contracts, make sure that things are done pursuant to the restrictions of all modern laws, corpora and kingdom law, work with the chatelaines to handle all public relations, and normally conduct the business meetings.

Lesser Offices

The Teamster, shall be warranted and serve under the office of the Exchequer.  The Teamster will be responsible for maintaining the regalia trailer, maintaining regalia and equipment stored in the trailer, arranging for transport of the regalia trailer to and from events as needed, and securing storage space for the trailer.  The Teamster will report to both the Exchequer and the Keeper of the Regalia.

The Archer of a branch group is responsible for monitoring archery at events, and encouraging target and combat archery in the group.

The Chatelain is responsible for assisting newcomers to the SCA and serves as the public information officer for the group.

The purpose of the College of Equestrian Arts is the study of medieval horsemanship through recreating equestrian pursuits of the Middle Ages.

This is the office that manages loaner garb (clothing) for visitors to group events. 

The historian records events and individuals of interest for the purpose of preserving the history of the Society for Creative Anachronism.

This office coordinates the combat tournaments held at group events.

The media relations officer is responsible for developing publicity materials and press kits, and monitoring coverage of the West Kingdom by organized news media.

This is the office that coordinates and manages the official laws of the kingdom.

The Rapier Marshal is responsible for all rapier activities in the group.

This office coordinates the Regalia of the group. If there is an item in need of replacing, repair, or a new item needed by the royalty of the west, this is the office to coordinate such actions.

The College of Scribes exists to create scrolls for the Royalty to present to recipients of certain awards, as well as charters, formal declarations, and credentials for formal representatives to foreign Courts. 

The social media liason - in conjunction with the Seneschal - manages social media accounts.  Their duties include creating event pages via social media accounts, ensuring that conversation remain courteous on official social-media accounts, and guiding users to the right person to answer questions.

The Web Minister is the officer required for maintaining the group's web presence.

The Youth Chancellor is the group's children's activities officer who assist parents in integrating children's activities into events.

A team of individuals standardizing and normalizing content.

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Officer works to promote a climate that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is free of bias and harassment.
